Energy Tech Day 2024
We are delighted to have supported the 2024 edition of the prestigious 2024 Energy Tech Day conference organised by Energy Industry Review. One of the most insightful events in this sector, the conference aimed at fostering dialogue, collaboration and innovation in using technical capabilities towards a more sustainable and resilient carbon-free future. The event brought together experts, policymakers and key industry leaders who addressed a wide range of interdisciplinary perspectives, essential for understanding the complex challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector nowadays. Some key topics:
▪ Romania's goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2050
▪ Romania’s 2030 RES target: approx 10 GW
State aids for the RES sector streamlined through two main channels: PNRR and the Modernisation Fund.
The ModernisationFund includes approved financing, among others:
▪ Eur 900 mn Eur for CE Oltenia projects
▪ Eur 2 bn for Transelectrica and Eur 1.3 bn for DSO(s)
▪ Eur 2.3 bn for supporting the CAPEX for RES facilities
▪ Eur 3 bn for CfD Scheme.
A call on storage will be launched on the Modernisation Fund.
During the second panel– composed of highly experienced energy experts, our colleague Daniel Marius Vlasceanu presented the key aspects of the Modernisation Fund, set to be opened on April 25th 2024. A significant support scheme, the call is designed to support private and state-owned companies with the CAPEX burden of RES facilities from wind, PV and hydro.
