Energy Tech Day – Going Carbon Neutral: Responsible Technology Investments

Yesterday, our colleague, Daniel Marius Vlasceanu, was a speaker at Energy Tech Day – Going Carbon Neutral: Responsible Technology Investments, organized by Energy Industry Review. The 4th edition of the event gathered representatives of the authorities, investors and technology developers of the entire energy chain and raised on the agenda the stringent need to design strategies to meet the CO2 neutrality target.
As a pathway to a safe energy transition, Daniel raised the matter of the dual use of lands (with a focus on pastures) for the development of RES projects, along with the ongoing regulatory challenges, the conditions to be met by the targeted lands and the potential benefits of such projects for both the landowners and the developers.
The leading ideas outlined throughout the event focused on:
-the best practices implemented/ targeted by the relevant authorities and the economic operators in the energy sector to ensure a fair energy transition and to cope with the challenges of the European Green Deal;
-technologies and smart solutions with impact and cost savings arising from the activities in the production, distribution and storage chain, while reducing CO2 emissions;
-the legal framework for encouraging and facilitating investments in green energy, tools for financing the energy industry and the strategy of Romania for achieving the energy targets undertaken at the EU level.
